Less Accounting Out of Beta

written by Steven Bristol

We are very proud to announce that Less Accounting is finally out of beta! We have been working on this for a long time, and we (and our wives) are simply thrilled. Here is a list of changes:

  1. Upload your logo (appears on proposals and invoices).
  2. SSL for everyone.
  3. No more “Sales Leads/Projects.” Everything just works through contacts now.
  4. Mark an invoice as sent. This is good when you are adding historic invoices, or if you get a payment without sending an invoice.
  5. Sending a “Payment received” email.
  6. Site redesign.
  7. Easier navigation.
  8. Import transactions using Wesabe.
  9. Bug fixes.
  10. Time zones.
  11. VAT
  12. Redesigned invoice templates.

Thanks very much to all of those who reported bugs and gave us their input. We’re not done though, more changes will be coming!

Great upgrades and congrats for coming out of beta! I would say Less Accounting is about 89% exactly what I want, although I think the new interface is a bit user unfriendly, but it may just take some getting use to the new look and navigation.

Just missing one thing—invoices should really have the invoice number on the templates when printed or emailed.

Other than that—very close to perfect! Thanks!

    Best.

You are absolutely right! I actually did put that in; I wrote all the code for it, including a translation in edit your business, and then forgot to actually add it to the invoice. :P

That change will be pushed to the live server later today!

I just want to say wonderful work on the design of the new application. Really suberb quality! I love the color palette and the subtle rollover CSS.

Right when I signed in to my account I knew I had to let someone there know what a marvelous job they did.

Thank you and continue the good work.

    Gob Bless!
