Not far from my daughter’s school is a little drive through cafe that makes great coffee. There’s not much else around there, just some small neighborhoods, a veterinarians office and some day care places. The cafe closed down two months ago. As I drove by this morning I heard the voice of the owner saying “If every parent, resident and dog lover stopped in for a cup of coffee then we’ll do great!” And it reminded me how many times I’ve heard “If we only get 1% of the market…”
In today’s world the most important thing when opening a web application is location, location, location. The difference is that location isn’t the url, it’s the niche market you’re going after. Choose wisely.
I love you guys !! I think your approach is very logical, straight forward ,and REFRESHING !! Even though I will admit, I have to have a terminology reference guide handy whenever I read your material-because I’m kind of a dummy ! But its also because you guys delve into areas of technology that most of us are not that familiar with. However, with your help, my knowledge level has increased a lot !! Thanks !! Keep up the great work !! And any time you can, feel free to digress just a little bit. That way us dummies can keep up with you !!

p.s. Under “What we believe” ..don’t try TO be everything to everyone. I think you might have a little TYPO there. Maybe not…but read it back and see what you think. No biggy !!! Your message is clear-and understood !
That damn Chinese math.
Wow Steve! In two paragraphs you summed up exactly what I feel and think often. Location, Location, Location. It’s not the url but the niche in which you are located in that makes a huge difference. Thanks for the profound words. That’s good stuff.
